An eye for history
Cobraspen Real Estate Development takes a very distinctive approach compared to other property developers, based upon our genuine eye for history. Along with our architects we focus on the original and historic elements and details in all restoration and development plans. Our goal is to fully respect the history of properties by restoring them to their former glory and using as many old and original materials as possible. This focus on property history also ensures the longest possible lifespan for restored buildings.
Cobraspen invests a great deal of creativity, money and time in restoration and development projects. And the fact that our projects do not always instantly result in profit is seen as an acceptable challenge. Cobraspen has an eye for the potential of property and development projects often proceed based upon a long-term vision. Quality is always the key to success.

Focus on prestigious real estate
Cobraspen’s love of history naturally results in an attraction to monuments, as well as other prestigious and challenging properties. We are great fans of buildings that over the years have made a vital visual contribution to their surroundings. In addition to being renovated, these buildings are sometimes redeveloped if the situation requires. A good example of this approach is the EKP mail distribution centre in Haarlem.

Protecting our heritage
Many of the development projects by Cobraspen consist of registered national or regional monuments, which are brought under the auspices of Nederlands Monumenten Bezit (literally translated, Dutch monumental heritage). This company was set up by a select number of stakeholders who share a love for their heritage.
